South Africa Project, Part 1: Go Humble, Give Smiles

Thousands of people around the world lack access to basic dental care, which can damage their health and cause unnecessary suffering. In addition, many children do not own any oral care products. We believe that by providing disadvantaged children with their first oral care products, we can make their smiles cleaner and their futures look a bit brighter. This is why we partner with Humble Smile Foundation to provide oral care to underprivileged communities worldwide. And as a part of our mission of environmental stewardship, we continue to provide products that do not deplete natural resources or fill oceans and landfills with plastic waste.

The Humble Co. was founded to create products that are good for you and kind to our planet. Every Humble purchase goes towards funding projects for the benefit of children in need. In this series of posts, we will talk about a recent project that took place in South Africa.

The project came about when the Humble Smile Foundation and the International Association of Dental Students were invited to the Ndebele Kingdom in South Africa by King Makhosonke II and Princess Agnes. Their purpose was to improve oral health integration in education and basic healthcare systems. Dental professionals and students came from 10 different countries to make a lasting, positive change in the community through education, outreach, and distribution of Humble Brushes, while learning about South Africa and having the adventure of a lifetime in the process. To learn more about the South Africa project and how it leaves a lasting impact, stay tuned for our next post!

“Can we change our ways of production and consumption? Can we help provide oral care products to those that need it most? The answer is yes!” – Noel Abdayem, Founder & CEO, The Humble Co.
